Eco-nique mission statement:

Carbon offset is not the only way of reducing carbon emissions. It is, however, the very least we can do to try and reduce the carbon footprint, in the long run, generated by the production of our products. We accomplish more by investing in worthwhile Eco-schemes around the world. Even this is an interim measure.

Thus, we engage in other activities to become as environmentally responsible as possible.

We are seeking to implement the following initiatives this 2008-2009 year:

1. Introducing an organic leather into the range in preference to normal leather
2. Implementing processes in our UK offices to ensure all papers and cardboard/plastics are recycled.
3. Ensuring the packaging for our products are made from recycled paper/cardboard.
4. Encouraging staff to consume as little energy as possible by ensuring all lights and unnecessary electronic equipment are turned off when not used, and during non-working hours.
5. Encouraging staff to suggest ways in which we can be greener, and consume less energy at work.
6. Encouraging staff to use public transport in lieu of taking individual cars, and offering interest free loans to purchase bicycles to cycle to work.

Finally, tripling our carbon offset contribution for 2008-2009 on our manufactured cases... It's just the start of a long, enduring campaign.
